On
Tuesday, June 12, 2012, Team members Jordan E., Cory J., and Greg T.,
along with teacher Mr. Ratliff met with the District 66 school board.
The presentation opened with a PowerPoint of the teams experiences last
year. Mr. Ratliff talked about the benefits of VEX, including improving
technical and communication skills. Next, the team answered questions
and demonstrated the new game for 2012-2013, Sack Attack. They discussed
their ideas and speculations on the new game, and what they believed to
be the more challenging aspects; as well as showing off Team 8701's
current Sack Attack robot. The meeting came to a conclusion with one of
the Board members getting a chance to operate a simple holonomic test
bot.
